The department of neurology in Žilina performs complex diagnosis and treatment of spine diseases through conservative treatment. As the first office in the Slovak republic, it started the treatment of intervertebral herniated disc through ozone therapy in November 2004. MUDr. Juraj Vyletelka, head of the department of neurology, received the certificate to perform the treatment after his internship at the Nestor of the ozone treatment, Dr. G. Fabrisi in Udina, at Dr. Cosmo Andreula in Bari, at Dr. M. Bonetti {one of the leading personalities of FIO} in Brescia and at Prof. Leonardi in Bologna {president of FIO}.
In 2010 – 2011 MUDr. Juraj Vyletelka completed his post gradual study of ozone therapy at the University of Siena (Italy) finishing with the habilitation of his own thesis with the topic – Internal Disc Disruption: Is It possible to Treat with the Oxygen-Ozone Therapy?
